IntroductionHostMCDJ

At the reception the goal is to serve as your host, master of ceremonies and finally the disc jockey. Most brides and grooms don't initially understand how important these roles are. Bands for example, generally don't serve as your host or MC. This means extra responsibility or expense on your behalf.

Beginning to average DJ's may have nice equipment and the less expensive rate, but they lack the understanding and confidence of being your host and MC. This lack of confidence makes your reception feel unorganized and boring, which equates to stress and the party ending long before it should have.

Good microphone skills go beyond a comfort for speaking. It involves articulation, timing, a broad vocabulary and presence. Great microphone traits understand: not being self indulgent, humor when needed, relevance and the ability to think quickly. This is what makes Mike stand out from the rest of the competition. His comfort on a microphone and host skills will make your reception feel as if your guests are part of an event, not just at a dinner dance.

"Most of my clients have never hired a DJ before. So they don't understand how important our role truly is. Unfortunately they come to realize when it's often too late. I certainly don't mean this as a scare tactic. Ask your caterer, photographer or a trusted friend who was recently married. They will all tell you that the DJ can make or break your day. You have hundreds of options but fewer than 5% of all professed DJ's truly understand their role."

By demonstrating a strong microphone presence, tempered with the appropriate music mix; you and your guests will have the event of a lifetime.
